This methodological guide covers the drafting of Nuclear Particular Materials Assessments (NPMAs) for N2/N3 nuclear pressure equipment, as required in the RCC-M, section ZY 310 - ESR 4.2 - PMA of appendix ZY [5].
This guide includes:
- The definition of the scope for which the manufacturer must establish an NPMA,
- A proposal of a structured NPMA template that is adapted to materials procured according to the RCC-M code [5],
- The principles for the manufacturer’s use of the template,
- The definition of the type and level of justifications that the manufacturer must produce for preparing NPMAs,
- Proposed proof methods to justify compliance of the materials with the applicable ESR/RPR according to the directive [1] and the ESPN Order [4], including references to the PTANs, as necessary.
This guide is based on the justifications and analysis of the CLAP and COLEN sheets discussed in the criteria report [11].
The purpose of this guide is also to help notified bodies to assess the compliance of N2/N3 nuclear pressure equipment.
